Former APMDC MD Venkat Reddy suspended on last day of deputation

Vijayawada:The State Government suspended former MD of APMDC and former Director of Mining VG Venkat Reddy on the last day of his deputation to the State for his alleged involvement in several irregularities in the supply of sand and other minerals causing huge loss to the exchequer during the erstwhile regime.

Chief Secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad issued a GO MS. No. 61 ordering a probe by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) into the irregularities committed by Venkat Reddy, a civilian officer of the Indian Coast Guards. Earlier he was under deputation after the YSRCP formed the government. He was suspended on the last day of his deputation to the State. The decision to suspend him has been conveyed to the Coast Guards Director General.
